Services     

Care First is well aware of the difficulties getting your loved ones to and from their appointments, especially those individuals that do not qualify as stretcher patients. In addition to non-emergency medical transportation or (ambulance transportation) we also offer wheel chair transportation. See below for information regarding both types of transportation.

    WHEEL CHAIR TRANSPORTATION
    Wheel Chair Transportation is different from Stretcher Transportation in many ways. Those patients who travel by wheel chair are not covered by insurance and this is an out of pocket expense for those who use it. Patients who travel by wheel chair are medically sound enough for this type of transportation. Ask your Doctor what would be best for you or your loved one.

    STRETCHER TRANSPORTATION

    "Stretcher" patients are patients that have conditions that qualify them for this type of transport. Patients deemed as medically necessary for stretcher transportation must be qualified by health care professionals  before insurance will pay for the transportation. Patients that pay out of pocket for this type of transportation do not have to be concerned with medical necessity as insurance is not involved.
